Shree Kshetra Karanja

Filed under: Dattatraya Temple, Karanja(Lad), Temples — Tags: , — Prashant Ghotikar @ 8:59 pm

Very old and nice temple of Shree Narasimha Saraswati Maharaj. Felt really peaceful after entering the temple. The idol can be seen clearly from outside as well. Had good darshan…as not much crowd….we missed maha prasad here, which is said to be really tasty. Then we visited the birthplace of Shri Narasimha Saraswati Maharaj, which is very close to or you can say behind the temple. This home is open till 9am to 5pm…But you can go upstairs and see the home, visible from the grilled door. Swami was there till age of 7 years and within these 7 years, he just chanted “OM” and no other word. After his threading ceremony, he started talking and left home and went to Wadi, Ganagapur etc.

Had tea and started from Karanja at 6pm….on the way we were welcomed by rains….for 1/2 hrs or so…reached Shegaon-Anand Vihar by 8.30pm. Nice day long tour ended with satisfaction.

– We paid Rs: 10/- for parking near the temple.
– Karanja to Shegaon took 2.30 hrs approx.
